Story continues from Avengers (1996 2nd series) #13. The Heroes Reborn Universe and the Wildstorm Universe have merged! And to safely separate the two realities, the dimensional lock holding them together must be destroyed! So to that end, Mr. Fantastic guides the Avengers and Stormwatch toward the Nexus of Realities in the Negative Zone! However along the way, they run into the Skrulls and Daemonites plus Annihilus and Defile! Meanwhile inside the FF's headquarters, another group of heroes stands guard at the entrance to the Negative Zone! And they are very happy when Iron Man joins them! But sometimes appearances can be deceiving! Story concludes in Captain America (1996 2nd series) #13. Appearance by Doctor Doom. (Notes: This issue completes the second volume of the Iron Man title. Tony Stark appears next in the Heroes Reborn: The Return limited series published in December 1997; and then in Iron Man (3rd series) #1 published in February 1998.
